The Rochester Knighthawks will open their 2024 preseason schedule on Sunday, Nov. 10, as they battle the Albany FireWolves at noon at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
The game features two playoff teams from last season and will be a good first test for both clubs. Rochester advanced to the Quarterfinals, while Albany reached the 2024 NLL Finals.
“It is always good to test yourself against another team. It will be great to play against one of the best from last year, Albany,” said Knighthawks head coach Mike Hasen. “I have been impressed with the pace and intensity in camp. Everyone is coming in trying to make the team, which is what we want.”
The game is the first of three preseason contests for the Knighthawks. On Saturday, Nov. 16, Rochester will host the Ottawa Black Bears at 7:00 p.m. at Brampton Memorial Arena. The final game is slated for Saturday, Nov. 23, at 2:00 p.m. at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) against the Colorado Mammoth.
Rochester opens the 2024-25 National Lacrosse League season on Saturday, Nov. 30, when they host the Las Vegas Desert Dogs at 7:00 p.m. at Segar & Sciortino Field at The Blue Cross Arena.
