ROOTS, KNIGHTHAWKS PARTNER TO PRESENT JR. KNIGHTHAWKS PROGRAM

Roots Box Lacrosse and the Rochester Knighthawks are proud to offer the opportunity to play for the Jr. Knighthawks. This year’s co-presenting sponsors of the Jr. Knighthawks are UR Medicine Sports Medicine and Zweigle’s.

Tryouts for the U13 (Pee Wee), U15 (Bantam), and U17 (Midget) teams will be held on Wednesday, June 19, at Total Sports Experience in Gates. The cost is $20 and includes a Knighthawks pinnie.

Jr. Knighthawks teams will be coached by current and former NLL players as well as other box experts. Confirmed coaches include Knighthawks players Brad Gillies and Riley Hutchcraft, Upstate Collegiate Box Lacrosse League (UCBLL) coach Jordan Jarvis and Roots Box Lacrosse coach Cory Holbrough.

The Jr. Knighthawks will once again play in two tournaments. The kickoff event is the USBOXLA-sanctioned I-90 Cup on Sunday, Aug. 11, in Rochester. The three Jr. Knighthawks teams will also compete against other youth teams from NLL franchise cities in the prestigious Jr. NLL Tournament from August 16-18, in Oakville, Ontario.
