Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced today that the team has assigned transition man Chris Willman to the holdout list and activated forward Mark Cockerton off the practice squad. Both transactions are pending league approval.
Willman has appeared in seven games with the Knighthawks this season, recording five assists and 40 loose ball recoveries while also winning 36 of 90 face-off attempts.
Cockerton, who signed with Rochester back on Jan. 28, joins the Knighthawks after spending the 2018-19 season with the New England Black Wolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), who selected him in the first round (6th overall) of the 2014 NLL Entry Draft. In 11 games, he scored three goals, one assist and collected 33 loose balls.
The Oshawa, Ontario, native has tallied 33 points (15+18) in 25 career NLL games, including his lone appearance during the 2016 campaign with the previous Rochester Knighthawks franchise.
