The Rochester Knighthawks announced today their schedule for the 2023-24 National Lacrosse League regular season.
The Knighthawks, who will again play an 18-game season (nine home, nine away), are slated to open their fourth NLL campaign at home on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Calgary Roughnecks at Segar & Sciortino Field at The Blue Cross Arena as part of the League’s Face Off Weekend.
Earlier today, the NLL unveiled a significant change to the League’s regular season format and playoff structure in which all 15 members clubs are ranked regardless of geography, allowing the preservation of established rivalries and the ability to showcase its continental reach across North America. For the third consecutive year, every NLL game will be distributed on ESPN+ and TSN+.
Under the league’s new unified standings format, the Knighthawks will play each of the other 14 teams at least once but will have a pair of meetings (one home, one road) against the Albany FireWolves, Buffalo Bandits, Georgia Swarm and Halifax Thunderbirds.
After opening the season with four straight games against western opponents, including a pre-Christmas Eve matchup against Vancouver on Dec. 23, the Knighthawks will open the New Year by hosting the defending NLL champion Bandits in Rochester on Jan. 13.
Rochester’s 2023-24 campaign also features a home-and-home series against Albany in March in-between trips to Fort Worth and Denver to open and the close month, respectively.
