Team to wear Rochester-inspired jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit local cancer support organizations

The Rochester Knighthawks are honoring the city they call home with a ROC the Rink Knight celebration, powered by DASH, on Saturday, March 30 when they host the Halifax Thunderbirds at Segar & Sciortino Field at The Blue Cross Arena.

As part of Roc the Rink Knight, the Knighthawks will wear special Rochester-inspired jerseys against Halifax. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase the jerseys, which feature a lilac-themed pattern and lavender coloring as a tribute to the Flower City, through an online auction on DASH, a sport-focused online auction platform and partner of the Knighthawks. A portion of the proceeds will benefit various local cancer support organizations throughout the Greater Rochester Area.

To access the auction, fans can visit www.rochesterknighthawks.com/auction or text “DASH” to 66866, click on the download link and install DASH on your mobile device. Fans can then create their own personal profile and select the Knighthawks as their favorite team to start bidding.

The auction, which also includes four Roc the Rink themed locker room nameplates and four Rock the Rink t-shirts, opens at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25 and will accept bids through 10:00 p.m. the night of the game on Saturday, March 30. Winners will be contacted directly.

Highlighting the night’s festivities will be an Easter Egg Hunt featuring 5,000 eggs scattered across different locations within Blue Cross Arena. Projected to be the largest event of its kind in Rochester,  participants will have a chance to win various prizes, including candy, discounted team store merchandise, complimentary popcorn and game tickets while one lucky fan will win a Knighthawks jersey.
