The National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced the 2025 NLL Entry Draft is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6, at 1:00 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the excitement unfold as the entire first round streams live and exclusively on NLL+.
The Rochester Knighthawks will make their first selection with the 10th overall pick in the opening round of the draft. The team holds six additional picks, including the 28th selection (second round), the 43rd and 47th overall picks (third round), the 57th pick (fourth round), the 71st selection (fifth round), and the 85th pick (sixth round).
“It’s an exciting time for the Rochester Knighthawks,” said Knighthawks President and General Manager Dan Carey. “With the incredible news that the Seneca Nation has purchased the franchise, there’s a renewed energy and sense of pride throughout the organization. We’re eager to build on that momentum as we make our draft selections, adding talented players who can help shape the future of this team.”
Hosted by Teddy Jenner and Pat Gregoire, the 2025 NLL Draft will feature live coverage from the League’s studio at DOME Productions in Toronto. NLL Commissioner Brett Frood will announce each first-round selection, with appearances from top prospects throughout the broadcast.
“The NLL Draft is one of the most exciting days of the year for our constituents, but especially for our draft picks and their families,” said NLL Commissioner Brett Frood. “It represents new beginnings, renewed hopes, and the continued evolution of talent within our League. We’re thrilled to showcase this next generation of athletes and bring fans along for the journey live on NLL+.”
The 2025 class is poised to deliver another strong group of impact players, with real-time updates and full results available on NLL.com and across the League’s social media channels.
Last year, Rochester selected two players who broke into the lineup, choosing forward Graydon Hogg in the first round (15th overall) before taking two-time America East Defensive Player of the Year and 2024 USILA National Defensive Player of the Year Jake Piseno in the second round (35th overall). The Knighthawks also picked Penn Yan, NY, native Conner Fingar in the second round (27th) overall. The former Hawkeyes (Upstate Collegiate Box Lacrosse League) defenseman will attend training camp this year.
The road to the draft content plan will feature a 2025 NLL Draft Preview video, exclusive to NLL+, debuting Thursday, Sept. 4, along with top player editorials shared across social channels and NLL.com.
