The Rochester Knighthawks and Segar & Sciortino announced today a new multi-year partnership that will see the local law firm and longtime community partner acquire the naming rights for the team’s newly unveiled turf at The Blue Cross Arena.
Beginning with the 2019-20 season, the Knighthawks will play their home games at Segar & Sciortino Field at The Blue Cross Arena.
“We have always been committed to the local professional sports teams here in Rochester, and it’s something that’s really important to this community,” said Segar & Sciortino Founder and Managing Partner Steve Segar. “Rochester is a lacrosse town, and to be part of that, and be part of such a great organization as the Knighthawks, is really something special. The relationship that we recently forged with the Knighthawks is a long-term deal and that says a lot about who we are, who the Knighthawks are and about our level of commitment.”
“Partnering with such a strong and supportive community partner such as Segar & Sciortino is truly a historic and proud day for the Rochester Knighthawks organization,” said Knighthawks Vice President of Business Operations Rob Minter. “We can’t thank Steve and his company enough for their commitment and are excited to work together to provide long lasting entertainment and grow the game of lacrosse in our community.”
Segar & Sciortino have also been longstanding partners with the Rochester Americans, members of the American Hockey League, who also play their home games at The Blue Cross Arena. The 2019-20 season marks the 13th year of partnership between the two organizations.
A new era of Knighthawks lacrosse begins on Saturday, Nov. 30 when Rochester opens its inaugural NLL season against the Georgia Swarm at The Blue Cross Arena.
