The Rochester Knighthawks, in conjunction with the Sinclair Broadcast Group, announced today that the team will televise two upcoming home games locally on CW Rochester during the 2021-22 National Lacrosse League season.
The broadcast schedule will feature two live events, beginning with Rochester’s home game on Saturday, Feb. 26 against the Buffalo Bandits with full coverage beginning at 8 p.m. The event will be part of a two-part broadcast and will follow the American Hockey League contest between the Rochester Americans and Toronto Marlies, which will also air live on CW Rochester earlier in the day.
Both games will be available to Spectrum cable subscribers on channel 16, DirecTV customers on channel 14 and over the air on channel 13.2.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to feature the Knighthawks into our local sports broadcast schedule this season,” said 13 WHAM Sports Director Mike Catalana. “The sport of lacrosse has a deep-rooted history here in Rochester that is unmatched in many other markets, and we look forward to showcasing some of the NLL’s elite talent this season.”
The televised home games will be simulcast with the Knighthawks radio broadcasts on The Bull 107.3 FM as play-by-play broadcaster and 2019-20 Tom Borrelli Award winner Craig Rybczynski, the longest-tenured NLL broadcaster who’s currently in his remarkable 20th season behind the microphone, will be joined in the broadcast booth by longtime color analyst Brendan McDaniels and sideline reporter Suzie Cool.
