Entering his 11th season in the NLL and first with the expansion-era Knighthawks … Spent the 2018-19 season with the original Knighthawks … On 1/26/19, he scored the 150th goal of his career … The lefty spent the 2018-19 season with Vancouver and Buffalo and notched 14 goals and 18 assists in 14 games … He began the year with the Buffalo Bandits, before being traded to Vancouver on 2/5/18 in exchange for transition specialist Thomas Hoggarth … In his career, he has played in 88 games and posted 157 goals and 121 assists … Made his pro debut on 2/21/09 when Rochester defeated the New York Titans … Since breaking into the National Lacrosse League with the Knighthawks, he has also played for the Toronto Rock, Philadelphia Wings, New England Black Wolves, Buffalo and Vancouver … His most productive stop was with the Black Wolves, as he recorded 107 goals and 77 assists in 43 games from 2015-17 … During the 2016 campaign, he registered career highs in goals (44), assists (32) and points (76) … During the 2016 playoffs, he scored five goals and dished out five assists as New England advanced to the East Division Finals … In the summer of 2017, Saunders played for the Kahnawake Mohawks of the Quebec Senior Lacrosse League (QSLL) … He appeared in five games and collected 18 goals and 10 assists … In the postseason, Saunders finished second on the Quebec Senior “B” champions in points with 23 (13+10) … During the President’s Cup, he finished second in the tournament in goals (33) and third in points (50) … His lacrosse career has also featured stops in the Ontario Lacrosse Association Junior “A,” Junior “B” and Senior “B” loops, Major Series Lacrosse and the Western Lacrosse Association … In 2010, he played for the Ontario champion Orangeville Northmen … During the regular season, Saunders led the Northmen with 50 goals and finished second in points with 79 … In the postseason, Orangeville went 10-1 to advance to the Junior “A” Minto Cup … In 18 playoff contests, he notched 19 goals and 18 assists for 37 points … In the summer of 2018, he played for the Senior “B” Owen Sound North Stars … He led the league in goals (31) and finished second in the league in points (55) … He also finished first on the team in regular season and playoff points (16) … In 2019, he played for the Senior “B” Kahnawake Mohawks of the Quebec Senior Lacrosse League (QSLL) and played in the President’s Cup.
